I loved the way the Enterprise-D looked in "Generations"?

^I would guess for the same reason that you have a He-Man avatar and I have a Watchmen avatar.

She looked good in a few shots but this ship has never been a favorite of mine. The E looks better suited for films. However, the lighting I didn't like at all. I remember a scene of Riker coming out of the turbolift or from the ready room and behind the door was completely dark. You couldn't see anything in the room.

I like the new-built sections of the ship — the bridge, Engineering, and the corridors. I wish they'd been able to show more of it, and build more new sets rather than redressing parts of the Voyager sets.

Well, as I'm sure you know the Voyager sets were redresses of the Ent-D sets, which in turn were redresses/reuses of the movie sets, which further inturn were reuses of the Phase 2 sets.

Star Trek sets are worse than sloppy seconds.

I like the Enterprise-E just fine, but I do miss the D a little. I thought the Ent-D bridge as seen in GEN was great. Once they re-painted, added extra platforms and consoles, changed some small details, threw in some video monitors and lowered the lights, it looked like a real control center for a starship. I've always thought that the Ent-E bridge was a little generic in comparison.

Agreed. And the added extras.

Yeah I loved how the NCC-1701 D looked in Generations. Personally I didn't want to see the ship go, I thought she would have the same longevity (if not longer) of the original Enterprise, serving faithfully for 40 or so years... atleast that was my hope... and I certainly didn't want to see her go out by being bested by an out dated B'rel class Bird of Prey.

I might have felt a little better of her destruction if it had been a Vor'cha than took her out. That and I think a Vor'cha would've looked great on the big screen.

They should have brought back the ship as the E. I was a good looking ship, and had alot of promise.

Damn berman.

That's part of why I liked the new-built sets, because they weren't what we'd seen before with a new coat of paint and different colored carpet.

Then there wouldn't have been any point in blowing up the -D, since the whole point was to get rid of the Galaxy-class for the films.

Am I the only one who liked having both types of uniforms being used. Between that and having the sets colored on black that harken back to "Yesterday's Enterprise." I thought it made the Enterprise-D look better than it ever did on the show. I liked it so much there were even times when I watched the tv show I would turn the color, tint down on my tv to sort of replicate that look in the regular shows.

Jason

I agree whole heartedly!

I gotta agree with you Jayson, I really liked the way the D looked in the movie. Looked far better here then in any of the episodes. I was sad to see it destroyed, but I've grown to like the E.

I still wish that the entire run of TNG looked like Generations... Would have been an entire different experience.

I've always wondered how the interior design might have evolved over the course of the feature films if they had kept her. Re-designed sets, a couple more bells and whistles for the bridge, that sort of thing.

Overall I LOVED the look and feel of Generations. The only thing I've ever really had a problem with was the over saturation of yellow in a few of the scenes (especially 10-forward). The ship itself was great, and the redesigned bridge was nice.
