I love Zoe but imagine Beyonce or Halle Berry as Uhura...

I love zoe and I thought she was perfect for the

role...however something funny happened when I saw the

trailer of ST 09 .In the trailer when zoe (uhura) is

undressing I thought it was beyonce and it made me

think...imagine if beyonce had gotten the role of uhura?

In all honesty I think it would have sucked...to me beyonce

is not that great of an actress ...

Zoë is way superior in acting to her. The only thing beyonce

would have had in common with the uhura character is

uhura’s TOS curvy figure. (NO OFFENCE TO BEYONCE'S FANS):p but this woman below ROCKS....

Now imagine if Halle Berry was 10 yrs younger she would have been perfect as uhura:)

Halle Berry's in her mid-40s (!) and she wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the younger cast, at least in the way that it worked in the film. Strangely enough, Berry's age puts her in the domain of the first few TOS movies.
 
They're all too scrawny!!! I nominate Jennifer Hudson (who has lost a lot of weight but not too much weight.)

However, I don't know if there's any other actress who could have pulled off the tricky combo of intelligence, fierceness, sexiness and drive that Uhuru needed. That role easily could have come off as unhinged, bitchy or just unconvincing. Saldana pulled it off, so if it ain't broke, don't break it!

I know it ain't broke that is why I said imagine...zoe is perfect

So then, Great Oracle, please tell us who is qualified to do so if Zoe wasn't able to resume her role? (I'd suggest my sister, but she lives here in Toronto with me.;))

I'm not sure what the "Great Oracle" thing is about, but whatever. Besides being far too old for the role, Berry's been somewhat uneven as an actress, and what I've seen of Beyonce's "acting" hasn't been at all encouraging. As for your sister— unless she's unable to leave Toronto, for some reason—get her agent on it and see what happens.
 
Okay Mr. (Ms.? Mrs.?) Ayres, I think that Kandyse McClure could do it better than Halle Berry or Beyonce.
