I like sheep...

Thespeckledkiwi

Vice Admiral
Out of all the animals that have yet to attack me, sheep so far seem to be the best (I would say armadillos but they have leprosy, tend to scare easily and dig, which is a problem :(). So, I am saving up to buy a Dartmoor Sheep.

But I have two questions; can one raise a lamb in an apartment? And two, given the rarity of a sheep like this, how the hell do I get one to America from Britain?

I would have serious misgivings about raising a sheep in an apartment....

Sheep cannot be house trained, and they need to eat constaintly, but good luck....

I believe it's perfectly legal to bring in a sheep to New Zealand, Tasmania and South Australia.

...Something about bloodline cleansing, or something. :shifty:

A lot of cities have restrictions about livestock in the city limits. You may wish to check with city hall before you get one. Though it is sometimes easier to ask forgiveness than permission . . .

But I like sheep! Sheep are awesome!

Why the hell would one want to raise a sheep?:wtf:

Then I could knit my own shirts and pants. Plus...sheep are cute. And cuddly.
And sheep are FUNNY!

You could buy wool yarn and knit your own clothes without having to own a sheep, you know. Or you could buy raw wool, clean and card it yourself, and spin your own yarn, if you're the artsy-craftsy type.

(I've been known to spin a pretty good yarn myself every now and then. . .)
