What's the oldest Trek item you own?
I've owned it ALL over the years, from Meco figures to early models of the phaser, communicator & tricorder.
But my only surviving EARLY stuff now is a thermos from a late 60's Trek lunchbox, and a mid-seventies Vulcan IDIC pendant from Lincoln Enterprises.

What ancient junk do you own?

Chris, i think the oldest stuff i have is the Mego Bridge set with some of the figures, and TMP lunchbox. Someday i hope to own the original domed lunchbox (hoping to find it at a yard sale for a quarter, LOL). I also have some 60s puzzles.

Please tell me you have the domed one and if so, i'd love to see a picture of it.

All of the models are long gone, but there's still a first-printing copy of David Gerrold's book about the making of "The Trouble with Tribbles" around, plus a few of the James Blish adaptations of similar vintage.

OH! I have some Blish adaptions! AND some of the old "Photonovels." You know, where they took frames from the shows & added word baloons to produce something like a comic book of the eps?

To clarify does this have to be the oldest piece of Trek merchandise we own currently or that we've had over a period of years? If it's the later then I have a copy of The Making of Star Trek (can't recall the authors name right now) from the 70's. My oldest personal item that I've had since a kid would probably be my TNG Phaser and tricorder that I got at a Creation Star Trek convention in Vancouver (one of the last ones with Michael Dorn) and the TNG Arrowhead Starfleet Communicator pin with sound effects (long since dead, haven't replaced the battery) and a Generations Era Starfleet Communicator.

I have most of those and then some. Collecting since 1979 at age 21, as items were produced, but found the "Mission to Horatius" kid's novel from my childhood.

But I also have an authentic screen-used tribble from "The Trouble with Tribbles", with a letter signed by David Gerrold to say it was the very last one found in his garage!
