That's pretty much all they've said. To the best of my knowledge it's pretty much just some baisic ideas that are similar (like the whole thing with Kirk being a troublemaker having been a part of BD).

AFAIK, PD has had no influence on the storyline, merely on the fact that the authors say it's one of their favourite books.

Best Destiny, however, apparently has influenced some minor plot elements.
