I just realized something really dumb about pens.

Pens is short for pencil which of course is what inspired the pen. How is it I didn't think of this for 42 years I have been on earth? Of course my other revelation is that hoarse sounds like horse and both have something in common and that is both a human and animal that can't really speak because they are either of those terms.
