Specifically, that, whether the new movie does well or not, there will never be another movie or television series (animated or otherwise). I don't think I believe this (especially considering the source...), but I'm still wondering if it could be true, nonetheless.
That's total balls. If the new film does well, there will certainly be sequels; the principle cast all signed three-film contracts (though I think that's starting to become de rigueur in Hollywood these days, at least where the sci-fi/fantasy and action/adventure genres are concerned).Specifically, that, whether the new movie does well or not, there will never be another movie or television series (animated or otherwise). I don't think I believe this (especially considering the source...), but I'm still wondering if it could be true, nonetheless.

It's going to bomb. so it doesn't matter.
For a new TV series, CBS and not Star Trek's popularity is the problem.
Unless of course CBS is allowed to call it CSI:StarTrek, Survivor:StarTrek or Big Brother at the Academy.
I fear that after what CBS did to StarTrek.Com, they aren't the least bit interesed in a new Trek series.
I dunno. Money talks. If the movie makes, like Iron Man money (not saying it will/not saying it won't -- just saying), I can see CBS more interested in a Trek series (although, they might wait until a sequel is made to see if it wasn't a fluke).
