I haven't been to the cinema in over a year

The last movie I saw at the cinema was 'Bee Movie' starring Jerry Seinfeld.

I saw that on March 30th last year.

I suddenly realised I hadn't been back since!

Partly due to having a baby on April 27th but also there hasn't been anything I wanted to watch come out.

This year is slightly different though. I've got Transformers, Star Trek, Terminator, and one other that's slipped my memory so far.

I haven't been since ... I think "Serenity"; just can't find anything worth a shit to see, especially when ticket pirces are nearly $9.00 for night time showings.

"Yes Man"? No thanks, I saw "Liar Liar" -- and it wasn't that great.

"Tranformers"? Yeah ... if I want mindless crap, I'll turn on adult Swim and watch Asse Magee.

Come on.

EDIT:
I saw "Wall-E" -- forgot about that. And I saw the newest X-Files movie.

Yeah, I missed most of 2007 for the same reason.

Don't worry, the 2nd year gets a lot easier. I saw several movies in the theater in 2008.

10 months since the last time my wife and I saw something in the theatre. It's looking like we might just be abandoning the whole concept this year unless it's part of a social activity as part of going out to dinner with friends.

We have so much stuff to watch on DVD etc that we can pick something we're in the mood for and not be restricted to what's on the screen.

I'm sort of with DanTheGrey. I'm probably going to abandom movies as well, maybe even 90 to 95% of TV. Spend my time doing better things.

I made up my mind never to go to the theater alone again. Actually that was a New Years resolution. So far I haven't had any trouble keeping it.

Wonder of wonders, I've even got a pretty good chance of taking someone of the female persuasion with me when I see the new Trek movie. Nothing definite planned yet, but I know two girls who'd be interested in seeing it, so odds are one of them will go with me.

I wouldn't be bothered had I not been in a year. Only a few new movies a year are worth seeing at all and of those, only a trifle need to be experienced on the big screen.

I went to the cinema 29 times last year. I saw the following

I am Legend
No Country for Old Men
Cloverfield
Sweeney Todd
The Kite Runner
There Will Be Blood
August Rush
Scaphandre et le Papillon, Le
The Black Balloon
10,000 BC
Horton Hears a Who
Death Defying Acts
Closing the Ring
The Other Boleyn Girl
Brick Lane
Spiderwick Chronicles
Nim's Island
The Painted Veil
Iron Man
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Prince Caspian
The Happening
El Orfanato
Dark Knight
X-Files: I Want to Believe
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Journey to the Center of the Earth
City of Ember
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This year I have been 5 times and seen

The Day the Earth Stood Still
Gran Torino
Slumdog Millionaire
Watchmen
Knowing

I might go and see Monster vs Aliens tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if I should travel the extra distance into the city where it is showing in 3D (it isn't in 3D in my local cinema). I have never watched a movie in 3D before.

Just thought that I'd poke my head in and say that April 27 is a fantastic birthday :)

Star Trek and Terminator are both must sees for me, don't care about Transformers but if someone wants to go I'm sure I could be convinced, it's not downright offensive like the GI Joe reboot.

I've been to the movies a few times in the last year or so, but for the most part I wish I hadn't. I mean, I saw Indy 4 in theaters :(

Pretty sure the last movie I saw was Milk, on 3 separate occasions-

1) By myself.
2) With a straight married female friend.
3) With a straight married couple and a bisexual male friend.

Felt the movie was "important" enough that I went out of my way to talk it up to my friends.

Maybe this is me taking "entertainment" too seriously, but the movie gave me a lot to think about and made me vaguely ashamed of the way I've been sitting on my ass while others have fought for my rights. I've been trying to work on that.

Last movies I saw in theaters were Wall-E and (shudder) Disaster Movie.

After Star Trek and Transformers 2 I doubt I'll be in a hurry to return. Usually I just wait for the DVD.

I've been letting down the industry. I think I've gone to the theater about four times in the past 20 years, the last time was to see Master and Commander.

"I Love You, Man" is the most recent movie I've seen. Before that, it was "Watchmen."

There was a decent gap before that, I think. I think "Pineapple Express" was the last movie I saw before "Watchmen," but I'm not positive.

I LOVE going to the movies, but it has to be something I really want to see.

To be honest, I prefer to go to the movies by myself. My hubby will only want to go see movies with lots of explosions, or he will drag his loser-friend along, who's constantly sucking air through his teeth like he's sprung a leak.

There was a time when I'd see anything that even mildly interested me, but now I find I just don't want to go out and deal with the theater, the crowds, etc., unless I'm dying to see it.

That said I still go about once a month. The last movie I saw was "Monsters vs. Aliens." A cute little film, with a few good laughs, but not fantastic.

The last time I went to the cinema was for The X-Files. I only go to movies that I really want to see. Wolverine is next, I imagine, followed by Star Trek.

The last movie I saw in the theater was Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Before that, I don't even remember. I might go see Star Trek, depending on what I hear about it.

last film i saw at the pictures was Transporter 3. next will be Fast and Furious on saturday. i might go see Monsters VS Aliens, but i haven't decided. otherwise it'll be Wolverine, then Trek, T4, TF2, Ice Age 3 and the GIJ:ROC

The last movie I saw was Monsters vs Aliens, on Saturday.
Miss Chicken, I've seen Bolt, My Bloody Valentine and Monsters vs Aliens in 3D so far this year, and it looks great. If it isn't too much hassle for you to get to see it in 3D then I would recommend it.
Word of warning though, I (and a couple of friends) ended up coming out with a bit of a headache, so you may want to take along some paracetamol or aspirin if it's going to take you a while to travel home.
