I dreamed I saw Star Trek XI last night (possible dream spoilers)

Saul

Vice Admiral
Admiral
And it was shit.

The first hour of the movie is pretty much Kirk, Spock and some hot Chick that's Kirks girl who will bite the dust. They drive around in a classic muscle car (this was before I read the trailer description) trying to escape their destinys and having adventures at each dust ball town they drive to. Finally after Kirk and Spock fight they become pals and take the Car up into the sky into space and onto the Enterprise which is in orbit.

I felt a bit cheated that we got the OC for the first hour before anything really interesting happened.

Did anyone else dream seeing the movie?

Yeah, I've had the dream a few times now. I never get to watch the movie though.

Usually, the film is about to start - and something happens. Either I can't find my seat, someone is standing in the way or the title credits go on for a long time.

Or I just get lost in the movie theatre. That happens a lot. In my dreams that is. Not real life.

Naw, something else was playing last night. I've taken the liberty of adding a "possible spoilers" note to your thread title, however. Can't be too careful about that sort of thing. ;)

I had a dream that it came up of screen, and everyone else could see it, but I could not. Every time I tried to watch my eyes would get all blurred.

Me too!

That was another obstacle in my "at the movie theatre to watch Star Trek XI but I can't seem to watch the damn thing no matter what I do" dream that I keep having.

:D

I got that ten years ago around the time of INS. I missed the movie in the cinema, so for weeks afterwards I'd sometimes dream about seeing it on TV. My version had a fight in a crashed starship in a jungle planet... and muppets.

I've had this recurring dream about being in the projection room and being able to electrify the seats, giggling when I get to zap the snarky Trek purists everytime they snicker at something trivial with 12,000 Volts!! The theatre smells like an odd combination of fried chicken and burnt hair, with a slight hint of baby pee.

Don't discount the dream man. I read something about remote viewing and got to pretty much witness the first trailer and press conference for FF12 -- all from my bed. And I was surprisingly accurate.

Maybe we should all try that.

http://www.crystalinks.com/remote_viewing.html very basic directions. You can get real fancy about it, but this is bare bones.

So let's all remote view the Trek Trailer.

Damn you Saul and your dream spoilers -- I know it's partly my fault since I can't avoid reading spoilers...but now I know how my Star Trek dream will end!

Oh well, I suppose I can re-write my dream now to include Zoe Saldana (or even that hot 'Yeoman Hostess') saying to me "why don't you get that 'tribble-tickler' out of my nightstand drawer, Captain [Jackson Roykirk], why I slip out of my go-go boots and miniskirt."

...then again, that may make for a great dream, but a pretty poor movie.

You know what could really help? Some optimism.

It's hard to be 0ptimistic. Sorry, optimistic.

It's not hard at all to be optimistic, unless you consciously decide not to be.

Trust me, I've tried to be optimistic, but this movie has yet to provide me with anything to be optimistic about. Aside from reports that there may or may not be a Space Octopus. It sounded stupid at first and I openly dissed the idea, but the concept of a Space Octopus is actually starting to grow on me.

Your choice.
