How many women did Kirk have in the back catalogue? Carol Marcus, Areel Shaw?

Plus the women he conjured up on Wrigley's Pleasure planet. Granted we got to remember though that this Kirk joined starfleet at a later age, which means he might not have encountered any of these women.

Still if they want to give him a love intrest I would go with Carol Marcus or Nurse Chappel. Kind of be funny if she's really into Kirk in this universe,similiar to how she was into Spock in the Prime universe.

Maybe we need something else.
Open gay characters for one thing would finally be good.

And perhaps ... seeing how other races in the Federation were upset over the loss of Vulcan.
I mean ... not an actual threatening sense that the Federation would fall apart on it's own ... but perhaps the Romulans or another smaller race such as the Tholians and possibly the Sheliak could be used to escalate fears covertly making the Feds vulnerable and pllotting to attack on mass.

Tholians and Sheliak were poorly fleshed out in previous Trek shows ...
I also think we should see a diverse alien crew instead of the ones who are humanoid based.
Maybe Dolphin officers?
The Aquatics perhaps from the Xindi race and an odd reptilian or insectoids.
It would solidify at the very least Enterprise past and the fact the Xindi are part of the Federation.
150 years would possibly be enough time for them to join up ... I wou;dn't be surprised.

I think it would be interesting to find out the Carol Marcus story, albeit an alternate one.

Although I enjoyed the uhura-spock-kirk triangley thing, she's obviously into green guys...

I think the next films villains will probably be Klingons.
With Starfleet realign from the destruction of Vulcan and the all but destroyed fleet, the Klingons (or for that matter Romulans, MAYBE BOTH) would have the tactical edge if the chose to invade.

The Romulans would have a tactical edge, sure; they're totally removed from the events of this film. But the Klingons? Man, if you're going to count out Starfleet after the loss of 6 ships, how can you even consider the Klingons as a threat? Nero blew up forty-seven of theirs!
