I caught my ass boss bad-mouthing me

It all started this morning when my douchebag manager was having his weekly meeting with a supervisor and his two leads from different sections within my department. My boss's office door was closed, but I could hear parts of their conversation as his voice was loud enough to be heard. I was having breakfast at my desk, which was adjacent to his office and about 10 - 12 feet away, and I wasn’t eavesdropping on them. As usual, Ass Boss was moaning and bitching about employees in the department who have had excessive sick leave used, myself included. I overheard him say my name quite a few times along with other names in accounting. Then Ass Boss started spouting bullshit, like “This is why he [Drone] brings in goodies all the time. This is why blah, blah, blah.” Now at that point, I knew he was onto something! He was implying that I was being insincere about my motivations, trying to make up for something, or pretending to be nice, or something to that end. Since the door was closed, it sounded a lot to me like this guy was bad-mouthing me in front of other people, and yet he didn’t have the guts to say it to my face!

I was very offended and upset at that point, and I was just about ready to pound on his door and say something to him, but I didn’t want to create a scene. So instead,I reported the incident to a union chief steward, who contacted the human resources department, which in turn relayed the message to Ass Boss. I didn't want to talk with him in private, nor did I want to ask the other staff who were present at the meeting what specifically my supervisor had told them about me because I didn’t want to put them in an awkward position. I don’t know what’s going to happen after that, and it could potentially turn into a big mess, but we'll see.

As I have posted from time to time , in the past few years and to this day, I’ve had health problems (sleep apnea, anxiety/depression, and now diabetes) among other things. Whenever I meet with my boss, he always says he understands the need to use sick leave at work, but he's concerned that some employees are abusing it and that excessive absenteeism has caused problems as far as personnel coverage and workload, which is totally understandable, and I’m not debating that. But what can you do about people being sick and the need to go to the dentist, doctor, or therapist? Well, right now Ass Boss and other supervisors are currently working on a plan to control the use of sick leave, but this is bordering on harassment and discrimination.

I've never had a problem with management before, but this dirtbag is a backstabbing, two-faced liar and a coward. To point out my shortcomings as an employee is one thing, but I don't appreciate people insulting me behind my back and making false assumptions about my character and integrity.

I wish him a very slow and painful death someday.

* Slash his tires, then smear blueberry waffle batter in his door handles.

*When he's out of his office, go in and make a keyboard macro that deletes the contents of the documents folder.
Make it something innocuous like F1 or the Left Shift key.

*Drop a piece of bologna behind his filing cabinet.

*Crazy Glue his paperweight to his desk.

*If he's a "Sight Typer", When he's out of his office, go inswap some of the keys on the key board around.
* Don't slash his tires spray his car with the purple bath AKA (Castrol) Super Clean when he goes to wash it off it will remove the paint.
* Have some hot girl you know leave a message like "Hi Honey I'm two Months late", or borrow some of her panties and leave them in his car where the wife can find them.

I'm sure there are enough of us here that can help you find some devious funny ways to get back at him. .
good luck.

If I am reading your posts in the fitness thread right, you know you are doing the right thing. You could lose all those health issues by finishing to lose the weight you need...and your absenteeism will improve.

Take a screencap of his desktop and make it his wallpaper, then right-click on the desktop, select 'Arrange Icons by' then deselect 'Show Desktop Items', and have fun while he tries clicking on icons that aren't really there.

edit: Oh, and trim off the taskbar in the screencap.

being a douche boss, that's a paddlin', talking behind your back, thats a paddlin', paddlin' the office canoe? oh you bet thats a paddlin'

Hmmm....allow me to offers some ideas.

1: Photoshop him in bed with some chick other than his wife.
2: Photoshop him in bed with some dude.
3: Pour a quadruple dose of laxative in his drinks.
4: Replace his eyedrops with airplane model glue.
5: When he takes a blood or urine test....slip something nasty into it when no one's looking.
6: Get some guys named Vinnie and Guido to visit him, with ballbats.
7: Have his wife, if she's hot, to have a threeway with you and your wife.
8: Slap some racist bumper stickers on his car before he drives into an area of more ethic communities if he's white.
9: If this is down south, slap on some pro democrat bumper stickers on his car.
10: When at the beach, do what they did in that Police Academy movie and write "DORK" or whatever stuff you want on his chest and/or back while he's snoozing under the sun.
11: If he goes to get cosmetic surgery, replace his paperwork, and put him in line for a sex change operation. :D

While I don't like the duplicity of his behavior, I can understand that he may have legitimate concerns and I'm a bit surprised at the violent revenge ideas in this thread.

Do you think you've taken off more time than you should? If you don't, and he does, why don't you go talk to him about it?

Someone wanting to get even with their employers....what's so strange about that? My very first one....if he got killed somehow today, I'd break out some champaign, and go to his final resting spot and pay my respects in the form of a dropping.

Making jokes about revenge is a good way of venting the frustration, everyone's just trying to cheer Drone up. :)

Totally off-topic, but your avatar is awesome, J! - I've just watched it run through: :guffaw: That's a trailer for a movie I'd like to see!

So, you weren't eavesdropping... but you listened in on their conversation.

You use a lot of sick time... but you're upset that your employers want to make sure it's not abused.

You portray yourself as a nice guy... but then wish a slow, painful death on your boss.

Does that about cover it?

Thank you! I originally meant for it to be a placeholder until the end of the black and white avatar week so I could present my Santa Claus av in all it's full color glory, but I realized that it looks more like a foreshadowing of doom and I liked it.

To me, bosses have always seemed like the little ufo that flies across the top of the screen on Space Invaders. You're plugging along, trying to do your job, and here comes this little douchebag making things more difficult for you.

Fair enough. I was going off of what he said in his post himself as well. I think it's over the top, but I'll let you guys have your fun.
