They're not flames,
Well, good, since there's no oxygen in space for anything to burn.

it's smouldering space rock and dust and debris picked up as it travels through space.

Smolder:
also intr.v., -dered also -dered, -der·ing -der·ing, -ders -ders.
  1. To burn with little smoke and no flame.
  2. To exist in a suppressed state: Revolution smoldered in the masses.
  3. To show signs of repressed anger or hatred.
n. Thick smoke resulting from a slow fire.

So it's burning oxygen, huh?

ok it's not smouldering, it's a false colour image, it's not really red and firey looking, it's the dust and debris etc being shown a false colour.
Maybe it isn't Nibiru, maybe it is. It's possible and we'll find out soon enough.
It's coming at us between the constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius, keep a watch out if you're in the right location to see it.

I'm 99% sure that Sagittarius and Scorpio are rather north of "directly over the south pole".

I'm giving you various locations of where it could be. If it is indeed in plain sight then it could be in that location and they're pretending it's something else. If it's here but out of view then it could be coming in where it's only viewable from the south pole.
I'm not saying I know for sure where it's coming from, i'm explaining to you where it's possibly coming from.
You can't just say "oh we should be able to see it then" because the sky is huge, space is vast, some objects can be seen and others can't, some give off large heat signatures and other don't. Nothing is impossible, there are likely various reasons why it's not being seen and like I said, maybe it is in view but we don't realise it yet. Could nibiru be composed of dark matter? could the Suns nemesis be a dark matter star of some sort? science and astronomy is in it's infancy.
From now until 2012 we're going to start seeing effects on our weather and the planet such as more frequent earthquakes, meteor impacts, global warming, ice cap melting, tornadoes and volcanic activity as it approaches closer.

Perhaps Nibiru the planet doesn't exist and instead there is only a dark companion star, perhaps it will come into the inner solar system or merely skim the oort cloud and send asteroids towards Earth. I'm not sure on the exact scenario but I know something is coming and I call it Nibiru regardless.

I just received a report on the battle with the Krupponian Fleet. It seems the attack was centered on the scout wing and the majority of the invasion fleet was undamaged. This is fortunate for you, Bolio, as it means I may not have to execute you. If you sign the peace treaty my diplomats are bringing to you and give at least a halfhearted appology for this "misunderstanding," I'll forget about this incident. If you refuse, I'll have to consider this an act of war.
It puts the plasma on its face.

Let's not forget the headline in 1983 about the telescope detecting an "unknown object" that was described as "possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth that it would be part of this solar system.
It was conveniently retracted the next day and never mentioned again.

So something ten times as far away as Pluto is going to pass by us in less three years, huh? Good trick. :rommie:

There is no Planet X or Nemesis. It disappeared once they had the capability of making more exact calculations, using advanced techniques, computers and data from Voyager. Lowell was good, but he made his calculations nearly a hundred years ago, with incomplete information.

If anything of any substantial size was less than three years away from Earth, in any directions, the effects of its gravity would be obvious.

No, like I said, it may not pass by us, nobody knows accurately where it will pass and could simply skim the oort cloud and send asteroids hurtling into the inner solar system. It might not even be a planet, could be a dark star that skims the oort cloud.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. We're already feeling effects on Earth with global warming.

You cannot be for real. You just cannot fucking be for real.

I think these threads of Tachy's are jokes, and we're falling for them by taking them seriously.

I am indeed assuming this is supposed to be a joke.

If anything were close enough to affect the climate, its gravitational effects on the solar system would be obvious.

If anything is skimming the Oort cloud and sending comets our way, we have a few centuries to deal with it.
