I am missing Lower Decks, very badly

I know it's been close to a year since Star Trek Lower Decks ended. And I'm thankful it got such a wonderful finale (I rank it up there with TNGs, DS9, and PIC Season 3)

But in recent months, I'm missing it. Sure I have Seasons 2, 4 and 5 (my favs) on Blu-Ray, some issues from IDW comic series, and the Warp Your Own Way graphic novel...

...But I still pray and hope somehow, someway a spinoff continuation of that program is given.

I owe a lot to Lower Decks, they practically reinvigorated my love of Trek three years ago, when I sadly parted ways with the franchise in 2010, feeling the well had run dry.

I am glad to have been proven wrong.

I love that show, I love the characters, I love the callbacks, the jabbings and that program really captured the spirit of Trek.

It deserves more adventures I feel. I still do, ever since the final episode aired.

With what's going on in Trek in recent news, I feel what I wish will be nothing more than a pipe dream. And it isn't enough.

I wish there was something that can be done that helps this lamentation in my heart...

To any LD and Star Trek fans, please help a fan out.

I've seen some Lower Decks fan comics.

I just rewatch the show and the SNW episode.
Yeah, I've rewatched various episodes any chance I feel like watching.

I just keep praying and hoping that a spinoff continuation is possible. Lower Decks, I feel has much, much stories to tell.

That's what fan fiction is for!
Getting it out there, is there anyone here that I can collaborate with? You know, bounce ideas and possible plots for chapters, while they help refine any rough edges? And is also a passionate Lower Decks fan like myself?

As well as fan fiction (you could try asking in the Fan Fiction forum, @CerritosExplorer84 - I hope something comes of it), there's also some great LDS fan art out there, and this fanzine that first came to my attention on BlueSky. (I haven't looked at it yet as I haven't worked out if I can donate from the UK, but I'm familiar with many of the artists work & styles.)

Thank you. I'll try that. And regarding the fanzine, I'm sorry while worth watching I must confess something, I'm not really into "shipping" and Boimler/Mariner, I just don't see them anymore than friends.

I felt the same way a few days ago. It has been about a year since Lower Decks ended and I wish there was more, or at least a streaming movie planned. I hated what they did to Prodigy. I was shocked with what they did with Lower Decks. If there was a show that seemed ripe for ongoing seasons (Like 10), it was Lower Decks, mainly because it was like a South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons type show.

I liked it for being it's own Trek program and came something truly memorable.
Besides I'm not into Family Guy or South Park. The Simpsons, I cut off at "Bart the Mother" the one I felt was the last one that had that Golden Era charm. But that's just me.

I was speaking more of the longevity of those shows, not necessarily it's quality.

I just want to see the interdimensional explorations out of Starbase 80, LD characters or no.

A great show.

Top shelf.
Indeed, Big fan of TOS, TNG and Lower Decks. Did I mention Lower Decks reinvigorated my love of Trek after I let it go years ago, when I thought the well had run dry?

It wasn't Discovery, Picard, Strange New Worlds, or Prodigy, It was Lower Decks.

Of the 4 shows in the current era that have ended, LOWER DECKS is the only one I truly miss. Plus it had the greatest potential to last more than 5 seasons... maybe even hit 100 episodes. (Something I'm sad to say we'll never see again.)

I liked PRODIGY a lot, but it did at least go out on a high note, so I can live with it not returning.

PICARD... it had an okay first season, a horrific second season (worst in the entire franchise), and a fantastic third season which served as a much better sendoff for TNG than NEMESIS. I don't miss it and doesn't need to return.

DISCO... just a terrible series. Easily the worst in the franchise, and it's not even close. If it did not have STAR TREK in its name, I wouldn't have gotten past the first half of season 1. Most certainly do not miss this one.

Lower Decks can always return, maybe one day they'll do Upper Decks, where they're all captains reuniting for some reason or another.

I don't particularly miss any of the current Treks beyond wishing they did a fourth Kelvin movie. I think it's more due to the content spam era we are living in. There is just so much of everything, none of it means what it used to.
