I Am In Pain(And Apparently a Spaz)

The Boy Who Cried Worf

You'd think that walking is one of those skills that people pick up early and never forget how to do. I seem to have great difficulty with this concept of putting one foot in front of the other though because iI can't walk by a bed or a couch or a table without slamming my stocking feet right into their hardest parts. I can't count how many times I have had the sensation of toes hitting metal or wood and that shooting pain that follows. I did it again a few hours ago. Usually it goes away after awhile, but man I really jammed it good this time. My toe is all bruised and I am limping along whenever I walk. Anybody else have a klutz move that they just can't seem to avoid?:scream:

Funny you should ask. This was me about five weeks ago:

^Good Lord, RJ, some things are better left to the imagination! Now I won't be able to eat the rest of the day.

The stupid klutzy thing that I tend to do is accidentally bite my lip, or my tongue, while chewing food. Ouch!

Someone once slammed his foot into the front of mine at basketball. It tore off half of my big toe's nail. That shit hurt like a bitch.

Yeah, foot injuries do hurt like a bitch. You would think that after a bazillion years of man using them to walk they'd be a lot more resilient.

RJ, those pictures are just.....OMG!

Scotty, me too. I do that stupid bite my tongue thing way more than a human being should.

I jammed my thumb playing football today. It's not bruised or anything, so I think it should be fine in a few days, but it hurts like hell right now. :scream:

I'm a master at hitting my arm on a door handle.

Sometimes i just forget to leave that extra space when walking into another room and smack my arm full force against the handle.. happens at least once a month :(

I did something similar Wednesday night, though it wasn't sports-related. Chrinfinity called me around 10:30 to ask if I would come downtown and meet him and his bf for a few drinks to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. (I wasn't going to go, because it was a weeknight, but then he said, "Just ask your boss if you can have a half-day tomorrow." And since he is my boss, at least Monday to Friday...)

So I took the subway downtown and started walking down Yonge Street to meet up with them, as they were walking up from Union Station. I ran into them about a block south of Wellesley, and he took a running jump at me and tried to land in my arms... but either he misjudged the distance, or he changed his mind partway through the leap, or I wasn't properly balanced, because we ended up lying flat on the sidewalk, with me on top and my right hand underneath him. My thumb is still slightly swollen, and I don't have the full range of motion. I spent the rest of the night in less than an ideal St. Patrick's Day mood.

Fortunately it didn't hurt too badly last night - I was able to average 173 over three games at my bowling league. :) And I obviously haven't learned my lesson, because after bowling, Chrinfinity and I went out drinking again... this time he kept both feet on the ground when he hugged me goodnight.

Oh baby that hurts just looking at it. I did the same thing running to the kitchen as a youngster when my mom called out that brownies were ready. I had to go to school for a week in one shoe and one slipper.

Toes, shinbones, elbows, forehead...I must be delusional about their size because I am forever smacking them on everything.

RJ, my little toe folds under just like yours. :)

Sometimes brownies are worth it though.
