Hello fellow hunk-appreciators! This week features the English actor Jeremy Northam.

Jeremy Philip Northam was born December 1, 1961, in Cambridge, England to parents John and Rachel, both university professors. Jeremy graduated from Bedford College, University of London, in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.

Jeremy has long been involved in theater. While playing the small role of Osric and understudying the title role in a 1989 production of "Hamlet," Jeremy replaced star Daniel Day-Lewis when the actor had a breakdown in mid-performance. Northam was also the recipient of the prestigious Olivier Award-the British equivalent of the Tony-for outstanding newcomer, for his 1990 performance as Edward Voysey in "The Voysey Inheritance."

In 1994 he made his American film debut in "The Net" with Sandra Bullock. Northam has continued to delight his audiences with his many acclaimed performances from movies such as "Emma", "Enigma", "Gosford Park", and "The Invasion" with Daniel Craig.

Recently, Jeremy could be seen portraying Sir Thomas More in the Showtime series, The Tudors. He will soon be starring as Rev. Innes in the Charles Darwin biopic "Creation" with Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly as the Darwins.

Let the  commence!

He gets a thumbs-up from me! I loved him in "Gosford Park" and "Possession."
Here's another yummy photo:

I voted yes, of course!

Never knew he could sing so well, till I saw him in "Gosford Park"--what a lovely voice!

*stares at auntiehill's pic* yum yum :)

I find it hard to believe that he's never been featured before! When I think of a hunky man with a nice accent, Mr. Northam usually springs to my mind. :)

There'll be no Hunk thread next week, by the way. I will out of town next week and my regulars have all but dropped out. Anyone want to volunteer?

^^ I can volunteer. That's pretty much the same as not having one, anyway. :rommie:

As for Jeremy, I've never heard of him before, but he's a pleasant-looking fellow, well built, and just the right age. ;) So I'll give him a Thumbs Up. :bolian:

^^ Cool beans. You can do the thread for next week. I should be back on Thursday, at least briefly.

^Not, literally, I hope. There are laws against that sort of thing.

Talk you to all later! Off to the airport.

Either I have terrible taste in men or the board does because, of the few I have seen, they are all thumbs down.

No Christian Bale? Hugh Jackman? Gerard Butler? Johnny Depp?

I am dying inside. Unless I just missed these wonderful men's weeks.

Popping in while on vacation....

Yes, we've done all of the guys you mentioned. Last year, I believe.
