I didn't know where else to post this, so I put it here.
Are humans the only mammals who have hair (the hair on our heads) that continues grow beyond a predetermined length. Short haired cats and dogs, all their hair is pretty much uniform in length, same with long haired cats and dogs. I can't think of any other mammal whose hair can continue to grow.
My cousin, some 30 odd years ago, had her hair down to her ankles. My cat, on the other hand, her hair is roughly 2" in length and has been since I got her 2 years ago.
So is the hair on a human head the only mammalian hair that continues to grow in length throughout its life?
