Just getting a sense of where the community's at. How's everyone's weekend so far? Mine's okay, I just woke up from like a 4 hour nap, lol. Just ordered a pizza and time to play some more Mass Effect. How about you?

Pretty good. I went to the local pizza place for dinner and just hung out all day. I have to study tomorrow, though.

Dull. My girlfriend is babysitting for a friend so I am stuck inside with no money and no life. So far I have watched the third Family Guy Star Wars parody and the all-time kung-fu classic 36th Chamber of Shaolin. I also read a Marvel What If comic about if the Avengers had fought Galactus. Oh and right now I am listening to Opie and Anthony and posting to the Star TrekBBS. About the only productive thing I did was apply for a job online. I know you are all seething with envy at my fast-lane life.
Relaxing on a Sunday afternoon, by listening to the rugby league and reading the Sunday newspaper.
I managed to get sick with a cold just in time for the weekend. 
Went to a movie, went out to lunch, played a board game (twice) and then watched that last two episodes of "Blake's 7."

I painted two paintings on Saturday. I posted them in the Artists' Thread, but I like them, and am happy to have done something productive, so I'll share them here too! They're not great, because I took a 7 month hiatus from painting, so they're only my 8th and 9th paintings to date, but I'm improving. (They'll look better when they're dry, but that takes weeks.)

You're a 1L? Oh, man, it's not too late. Actually, maybe so, as you'd be heading into second semester exams.
It's true that it's the worst year as far as work goes, although 3L is when the existential loathing arrives.
Anyway, I've been largely unconscious this weekend, but it's been an exhausting few weeks. It's possible I may've missed a personally important phone call. : /

Well... I had a further on study. For getting there and back again I spend 12 hours in trains and busses.
Also I have a verbal examination on Tuesday, so the rest of the weekend was/is working around at my power point presentation and getting my research questionaire for my Thesis done.
Oh and getting some more of my application for New Zealand done too.
Not truly a weekend and I think its ages since the last real weekend. Just try to survive till summer.

This weekend was the usual: cooking, washing, reading, procrastinating, more endless effing cooking and posting. Watched some Clone Wars. Actually it's good having a weekend in which I'm not compelled by forces outside of myself to leave the house.

Yesterday I went to a sea life aquarium centre with the family. I enjoyed it a great deal, but I got the thing I get when I see any captive creature: worry that their environments are too small and that they are suffering from captivity stress. I thought I saw that in the turtle and the sharks. Today I am hoping to meet a friend for coffee. It will be the first weekend in ages that I haven't had to do any housework or cooking!
Yeah, 1L. My actual weekend was spent writing my Memorandum in Opposition to Partial Summary Judgment for my legal writing class, but I figured a little Socratic Method would illustrate my life better.
EDIT: I am currently at my law school on a Sunday, but that's mostly because I left my book here and I need to do the reading. I don't usually spend my weekend at school.

Drove my mum to the airport after she has stayed with me for 4 weeks because of some medical stuff.
Ordered in some pizza (even though she had cooked some stuff and froze it), played some games and just relaxed for the first time in weeks alone without someone interrupting me.
Slept really long into Sunday and repeated the relaxing.. now i'm slowly gearing up for the first nightshift of the week (at least i'm done with the work week Friday morning).

Friday was pretty lame. Got home from work and did some laundry. Woot!
Saturday I met some friends at a bar to watch the Cubs game. I was drunk by 3pm, went home and ordered a pizza, and then took a nap. Then I got up from my nap and went to bed! I slept for 15 hours!
Now I'm trying to be productive.

I finished spreading, seeding, fertilizing, and watering 4 yards of loam that we had dropped off last week. The lawn had a lot of bare spots and this is our real first big attempt at a fix.
We also added this neat 4x4 cedar garden box which we'll use for vegetables.
^ definitely getting a few more of these.
