How would you spend your free shift?

You’re in duty 8 hours a day, sleeping 8 hours a day. That leaves 8 hours a day (assuming you’re not assigned to Deep Space Nine) for you.

How would you spend that time. Let’s say you get four hours of holodeck time per week.

I’d probably use the holodecks to “visit” my favourite cities back on Earth or check out live performances of my favourite artists.

Outside the holodecks, I probably wouldn’t cook for myself. I’d rely on Mess Hall grub or replicator rations if I really couldn’t stomach Neelix’s plat du jour.

Spend some time in the ship’s gyms.

Hang out in my quarters watching the Federation’s version of Netflix.

Finding where Janeway hide the bodies of the warp ten salamander babies. Use as black mail against her when she becomes Admiral for some inexplicable reason later.

- Emcee karaoke nights.

- Demand a greenhouse/garden space be set up, because people need plants to stay psychologically healthy.

- Pester Chakotay about asking every humanoid species we come across for some dogs. Somebody out there's got to have some canine-like creatures!

- And, most importantly, chat up Ensign Jetal, of course!
