How would you kill a vampire in the Star Trek universe?

Well the Remans did look like Turok Han Vampires from Buffy only on a larger budget, and they were awfully keen to get Picards blood, and lived on the dark side of their planet fearing daylight and...

I came up with this question when I was fourteen. If vampires existed in Star Trek, how would you kill one? Would a phaser set on kill work or would it require some special advanced weaponry straight from Starfleet Tactical?

You know those steaks Archer likes so much? Just put one through the vampire's hart. Once his pet deer is dead he'll fade away from grief.
