It's been well announced and publicized that Matt Smith will be playing the eleventh Doctor. Now imagine that something big and exciting happens at the end of Ten's last episode and he starts to regenerate...But it turns out his suit is somewhat empty; reminiscent of that scene from Last of the Time Lords. But wait! There's something moving in that suit --
The camera zooms up to the head of a golden retriever, who makes a confused squeal. It turns out that Matt Smith will only be playing the voice of the eleventh Doctor and the body itself will be played by a team of near-identical golden retrievers. You'd be able to listen in to the 11th Doctor's thoughts and at in his first episode he'd go after a telepathic-on site translator that allows him to project his thoughts. This Doctor's official costume would be a black collar with a blue hat and a blue scarf tucked into the collar. In certain episodes he'll also carry the Who-brella around in his mouth.
The Doctor wouldn't be able to control the TARDIS due to his new physique but he'd instruct his new companion(s) on how to run it. Thus when the TARDIS doesn't appear where it should it's due to the companion's not being able to follow the Doctor's logic, as opposed to the Doctor's more general goofy mistakes. At one point The 11th Doctor will meet up with K-9 and play chase with him.
When the Master's re-introduced he'll have a scene where he says, "If the Doctor can turn into a dog, why can't I?" And he forces a regeneration onto himself becoming a greyhound or a great dane. When The Doctor meets up with Davros again Davros won't believe that he's actually the Doctor and thusly under-estimate him, paving way for his defeat. Also, at one point there will be a tearful reunion with Rose where she itches behind his ear and says "Good Doctor. Good."
How would you feel if this would come to pass? Would this be the worst possible thing that could happen to Doctor Who -- or could something worse happen?
