How would you end the 13th Doctor's story?

reading this thread a couple thoughts come to mind.

Maybe during the Time War the timelords gave all their people an extra cycles of regenerations so they could keep on fighting, so 13 wouldn't be the end.

Have 13 regenerate; But the Doctor expected to die, so he's shocked to still be alive. And he doesn't know if he will regenerate again.... actually that could be a mystery that's hinted at across 14s run, and have the explanation of why at the end of his run. (maybe something like the White Guardian, or a result of the Elixir of Life #4 drank)

I've already said this but noones listening

Thing is there has to be a way of killing a Timelord, otherwise what's the point in fighting them (although I guess Daleks can be a bit thick!)

(apart from in the TVM) a Timey can only regenerate if he's not actually dead yet, so any sort of instant kill (shot through both hearts, headshot, decapitation) will be a permanent fix...

Well, in LotTL, the Master decided (willed himself?) not to regenerate, so I guess if the timelord wants to die, you can do it. Which means, that consciously or subconsciously, 10 allowed his regeneration after holding it off for so long and fighting it. But that's another story.

The fact that the Dalek in "The Stolen Earth" only hit the Doctor with a glancing blow would seem to indicate that, in Davies's mind at least, that a direct shot would be fatal to a Time Lord. It would have been a pretty lame Time War otherwise.
