How would the world react to proof of life/no life after death?

I think I'd be better off dead because I am ill and often in pain, mostly due to medical procedures to keep me alive. There is no cure for my illness and any further medical intervention might only make my condition worse. Until one finds oneself in this condition, it is hard to imagine a fate worse than death but it exists. This is hardly a life.
I can sort of relate; for the last 25 years or so of his life, my father was in excruciating, chronic pain. He'd down aspirin and ibuprofin like it was candy, since he never wanted to take opiods. He had back surgery when I was around 7, since his spine nearly collapsed his lungs. They put a steel rod in to help support his spinal column, and fastened it to the wrong vertebrae or something. The side effect was that it kept his spine intact by putting intense pressure on his lower back. And after the support snapped the first time, they had to operate on him again to reattach it.

Since then he'd be living with increasingly more frequent hospitalizations, more complications, and then prostate cancer which was cured by destroying the other half of his body. Yet, his personal belief was that even in crippling pain, every moment of life was worth it. I do agree with that, but only to a point (I think i'd draw the line at broken body, unmanageable pain, etc.) I can hear where you're coming from, so as I said before; best of luck, however you'd like it.

My father has lived with a terrible disease for ten years, (silicosis). In the end, his lungs collapsed and he spent the remaining hours of his life in an iron lung but he still wanted to live and passed away with regrets.
