I try to treat them pretty carefully, but while writing down timeline notes, sometimes I have to fold pages over. Sigh.
That's one of the things I really appreciate about eBooks. Marking stuff and the search function are really helpful.

I'm definitely careful about any new books I buy. There are some older books I had to buy used, and I try to find the best copy I can (sometimes that's just not possible--I got a first edition of Spock Must Die that was in decent condition, but there were some creases).

One of my prized books is I got a first edition of Mission to Horatius by Whitman Books that was actually in really good condition at a flea market type store. I really don't know that it's actually worth anything money wise, but it's a first edition of the first ever Star Trek original novel, so I make sure to take care of it.

To give you an idea of how picky I am, I have been taken my paperback copy of The Neverending Story to work in my bag, and I noticed yesterday there were a couple nicks of the edge of the cover. I had a brief moment of panic, and I'm not putting it in the bag anymore.

Architects of Infinity is refreshing at the moment.
Speaking of Kirsten Beyer written Voyager novels, there seems to be something weird with what Cross Cult is doing with A Pocket Full of Lies. On their site they have it listed as Kleine Lügen erhalten die Feindschaft I and Kleine Lügen erhalten die Feindschaft II (Small Lies Preserve the Feud I & II) so it appears there'll be two books. I wonder why they're doing that, since IIRC the novel wasn't particularly long, at least not if compared to other Voyager novels.
I feel like I should also mention that the last time they did that was with Beneath the Raptor's Wings where they basically had to choose between an overprised and oversized or two regular-sized novels. Also, the Enterprise series was selling particularly poorly and was canceled the following novel, with Rise of the Federation being published as its own thing.

Also, I think Kleine Lügen erhalten die Feinschaft is a great title.

You made me look that up immediately. Whatever the reason, if there will be two books there will be two covers. Has Cross Cult already explained itself? There will be certainly quetions. I digress. This can be further discussed in the A Pocket Full of Lies thread I would think.
