I have a website that is on a server that's not my own (think something like Blogspot, where I can't control or upload files, unlike something like Geocities). This website links to a file on a server that I DO have access to, whic is a file that can be downloaded.
I'd like to track the number of times that that file is downloaded via the link on the first website. I can place links to scripts in the html of the original website (which contains the link), and I can also place any kinds of actual files (or scripts) on the server (where the downloadable file is located).
Does anyone know of any free, easy way to do this?
