Poll How to introduce characters

What's the best way to introduce a show's characters?

Absolutely depends on the type of show. Is there a lead/main focus character, with several other supporting characters (The Closer), or is it a large group of characters, with four or more main characters (Hill Street Blues, St Elsewhere or The "Chicago" shows)?

If there is a definite lead/main focus character, they are usually the center of everything, so they usually get introduced first, but there are lots of different ways to do that.

An equal ensemble would be more realistic.....possibly more confusing but rewarding over time. Not all leads are equally entertainingFredDryerso it's best in my opinion to spread the acting ''wealth.''
