Sarek aged like a human between TOS and TUC and then his aging process was apparently stopped for several decades.![]()
Well just because they live a very long time does not mean they age at a constant rate ya know.

Crap! It's customary to warn ahead of time before revealing SPOILERS to the rest of us! Now there's no point in watching the historical documents if they're all made up!Suspension of disbelief, anyone?
Ummm...dude...I hate to break this to you but all of Star Trek is pretty much based on Suspension of Disbelief...
You might want to sit down for this news...I'm sorry but Vulcans are not real...![]()

Might you be thinking of this?Sarek was 203 when he died. Now, I may be imagining this because I haven't seen the episode in a long time, but I think that in the TNG episode "Sarek" it was said that 200 was very old even for a Vulcan.
PICARD: What would cause such a loss of control?
CRUSHER: There's a very rare condition that sometimes affects Vulcans over the age of two hundred. Bendii Syndrome. Its early symptoms include sudden bursts of emotion, mostly irrational anger. Eventually, all emotional control is lost.

PICARD: It's ironic, isn't it? All this magnificent technology and we find ourselves still susceptible to the ravages of old age. The loss of dignity, the slow betrayal of our bodies by forces we cannot master. Do you still want to be one of us, Data?
Both do seem to imply advanced age, though since Bendii Syndrome is intended to be the Vulcan analogue to Alzheimer's in humans, I'd be inclined to think that 200 for a Vulcan might be equivalent to an age falling somewhere between 65 and 80 in humans. Also, since Bendii Syndrome occurs in only a small minority of Vulcans reaching that age, one could suppose that an unaffected Vulcan might still potentially have several decades left; in other words, 200 would seem to me to be getting old, but not necessarily terminally elderly yet.Thanks. I guess that and Picard's general remark to Data about becoming elderly led me to infer Sarek was a very old Vulcan. Like someone in his upper-80s today.
