How often do you eat sushi?

Since I moved to D.C. 2 1/2 years ago, I've found that sushi is actually a staple part of my lunch diet. I go to a small Japanese place tucked away-- the sushi chef is great, and you can hand pick your pieces for an exceptionally reasonable price (a pound of sushi for something like 11 dollars). Typically I get the raw salmon and tuna over beds of rice (rigiri) and a couple vegetable rolls. Very simple stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if I eat it 10 times a month.

Once a week at least. I live within 3 blocks of 5 sushi restaurants, and my city has a reputation for some of the best sushi in the world! Delicious.

Not nearly enough. When I worked at Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach a few years ago, I used to go to this low-rent, fast-food sushi place at the strip mall next door, "Samurai Sam's."

Nowadays, I only eat sushi if it's at a fancier restaurant, particularly at my favorite place Tera Sushi in Studio City.

So, to answer your question: not nearly enough!

The sushi in this city is pretty pricey and not really very good, so not that often. I ate it a lot more often when I lived in Vancouver, but now I've been spoiled on quality!

I have never eaten sushi. I am not necessarily opposed to it, but I've never been in a situation to try it.

Not often as I would like! Sushi restaurants are still kinda expensive around here (even the lame one), so I keep it to a minimum even if I love it. Maybe once a month.

Since I've moved, only once. And it wasn't the spicy tuna roll that I crave. I miss it. Sashimi is plentiful here, though.

Three or four times a week.

I have to confess, that mostly involves supermarket sushi, which by sushi standards is an offense against god and man, but is nicer than buying a sandwich.

I sometimes think I could happily live on sushi alone.

A couple of times a year. Denver isn't exactly a sushi town. In fact, most seafood kind of sucks here unless you want to pay a small fortune for the stuff that was flown in fresh.

Not as often as I'd like. Even the cheap stuff here tends to be relatively expensive, and, of course, nowhere near as good as the expensive stuff. That said, I love almost anything with salmon or tuna (especially spicy rolls), and I'm a complete sucker for BBQ eel nigiri.

When I worked in DC, I ate it several times a week for lunch, too. But now I'm out in the sticks and the good stuff is hard to find and expensive. Maybe once every couple of months?
