How many times have you seen the movie so far?

^Cooleddie, Generations is still at the top of the list as a favorite for me. And like you said, even with the plot holes..(i still want to know how the hell they got out of the nexus to go back to the top of the mountain. what? snap their fingers???)

and that soundtrack still is one of my favorites too.
and i still cry when Kirk dies (both times, altho the first time he isnt really dead jim)

i just LOVE that movie!

Yesterday, I saw it for the 8th time, but I think I'm going to not count this and try for a do-over. I saw it on an IMAX screen, and it was not an enjoyable experience.

Was it a domed screen? I remember watching a Harry Potter film at San Jose tech museum and not enjoying the experience because of looking back and forth all the time.

Flat IMAX screens are much better for purposes of movie watching.

As a matter of fact, it was--the Detroit Science Center. I remember seeing a movie made specifically for the IMAX screen when they had the Titanic exhibit there a few years ago, and I don't remember having such a problem with it. My husband and my niece were with me yesterday. She also complained about the motion sickness, and all three of us had trouble following the action on the screen.

I usually see movies just once in theaters, but I saw this one a second time because I wanted to see it in IMAX. The only other Trek movie I saw twice in theaters was TMP.

Makes one wonder how badass a movie like T2 or GHOSTBUSTERS would be digitally remastered and on an IMAX screen.

^

Especially all the cut scenes with the Klingons and Nero. And perhaps Spock's birth...wonder if it'll closely resemble the Sybok/memory sequence from TFF?

Twice for me. Once with a group of friends at an IMAX and another time with my wife (who was a ST Theater Virgin....)
