I have a flatmate. I always find the term 'room-mate' a little misleading as I'd go insane if I had to share a room with not a significant other.

I voted Wife, Kids, and Parents, but only my mother stays with us-- Dad more of less begged us so she wouldn't have to be alone while he was on the road, and it made the best financial sense. My dad will probably be staying with us during his recovery. After the 1st of the year, next 6 months we're going to try for a leaser place further north (upstate New York) or somewhere in the D.C./Fairfax area so it'll probably be just us [me, wife and kids].

I live with my wife and my son. And about once a month my youngest daughter will come home from college for the weekend.

Alone, as I have for the past decade or so. I really don't play well with others when they're all up in my space.

Just me and Hubby. But he's at work 10-12 hours a day and I work alone in my home office. I'm alone far more often than with him.

Same here. Mine is on afternoon shift and doesn't get home until around midnight, sometimes later, depending on how busy it is. He wakes up for work at 1PM and leaves at 2:30PM the latest so I am alone during weekdays until whenever he gets home.

Holy crap... this is an internet forum for Star Trek.. and 56% of us are living with a significant other?! Way to buck the stereotypes guys and girls ;) :D

My place isn't that big, either. 1040 sq. ft. With 5 people, 2 dogs, and a cat, it can be pretty tight quarters at times.

After 25 years of living with my parents and sister (I love them, but god it was frustrating at times), I finally moved out last year and now live by myself in a one-bedroom apartment.

I love it. I can keep whatever hours I please (hell, it's 3 a.m. for me right now!), I don't have to tell anybody where I'm going, and I never have to wait for the washroom. It's a bachelor's life for me, and I like it that way. :D

I've been living alone since 1982. I'm way too Bohemian to share my Sanctum Sanctorum. :D

Had a roommate for the first time since college just this year (it was me movin' into the extra bedroom at her new place to cut both our costs). She has since moved out, though, so I'm back to livin' alone.

Haven't decided if I want a new roommate or not when the lease is up. She's still payin' her half of the rent, but I could probably afford it on my own.

With parents just. Although when i'm at uni I share with 2 flatmates.

Nice to have the tranquility of being at home once in a while, ha ha.

Technically I live alone. Though I seem to spend the bulk of my time at the girlfriends new place. I'm pretty sure her boys think they've moved in with me.
