oh dear, I just discovered I'm a geek (I like Heinlein's Books). In order to live up to that theory, I must urgently require some for of autism asap!
LOL naaah, I rather stay as I am and prove the theory wrong. That's cheaper and more convenient.
I can't help but notice that some posters appear to have a tendency to talk themselves into illnesses they don't have. They don't fit into what the media preach to be normal and that worries them. However, everyone varies a little from the norm, one way or another. "normal" is only a statistic average. Or a bandwidth, rather. And "normal" is not necessarily something you should attempt to be. For example, practically everyone has fillings in their teeth. If you have none, statistically you are not normal. Yet, IRL you are! Even more so than the majority.
Until about 20 years ago nobody had ever heard of Autism or ADHD. Then someone published a paper, gave the two conditions nice names and all of a sudden everyone had them. When I was a kid we simply called those people reclusive or nervous. And both was considered slightly eccentric but totally normal.
Hmm, come to think of it - Trekkies were considered far more eccentric, back then
