I've seen every film from TUC through Beyond in the theater. I saw GEN, FC, and NEM opening day/night, and saw INS opening weekend. GEN is the only one I've seen twice in the theater; opening night with a friend and his dad, then a couple months later at the dollar theater with my family. Mom got confused by the Nexus, and ultimately said "it wasn't as good as that one with the whales." (she wasn't wrong)

OK, let's see if I can remember exactly.... These are the number of times I saw them in their first run:

    TMP - 1
    TWOK - 1
    TSFS - 1
TVH - 2 (opening night with a my ST fan club [Starfleet chapter], then again with my family)
    TFF - 1
TUC - 6 (my friends and I went crazy)
    GEN - 1
    FC - 1
    INS - 1
    NEM - 1
    ST'09 - 2
    STiD - 2
    STB - 1

The only film I saw on a second run was TMP, sometime in 1980, when it was featured at a weekly film screening at a local university.

Khan-Beyond, first run. I also went to the screenings put on by Celebration Cinemas just prior to Into Darkness. Sadly, they only ran II, III, IV, GEN and FC. So, I'm still waiting for TMP (was too young in '79). I did see the Khan release this year as well as those TNG double episodes, which were fun.

4 through 13. Wore my monster maroon to TUC through Beyond. Yes, I know JJ Abrams movies were supposed to be the original series but I had my picture taken more times in that uniform at the theater than anywhere else. Felt like a rockstar lol!

    In theaters:

    Star Trek: NEM (x1)
    Star Trek (2009) (x3)
    Star Trek Into Darkness (x1)
    Star Trek Beyond (x1)

I've been a fan since 1984, but I didn't have much in the way of disposable income until much, much later.

As a wide-eyed kid finally getting to see a Star Trek movie on the big screen in the theater for the first time ever, I thought it was absolutely spectacular, amazing, larger than life, and fantastic beyond words.

The movie in question was TFF. :wtf:

I was probably the lucky one, being a non-fan at the time, when I went to see TFF.

Instead of the disappointment I might've felt gearing myself up for this great big thing to follow up the Genesis Trilogy with, all I did was leave the theater thinking, "Okay, being dragged along to spend two hours watching something I'm not into killed some time in the middle of a summer day. So now, what do I want to do? I'll go outside!"

I keep thinking it's probably a good thing I wasn't taken to see TVH. Knowing me, I might've tried to use some "colorful metaphors" and, at seven years old, there's no way that would've been able to fly...

Did you guys then see VI 2 years later ? How did that compare to the 'spectacular, amazing, larger than life, and fantastic beyond words' Trek V?

I loved VI in the theater. After that I was drawing lots of pictures inspired by the movie.

My first movie experience was TSFS. I was ten years old so it was the first time I was old enough to make it through.

I was only eight (and not yet a Trek fan) for TWOK, so I probably couldn't have handled Chekov's ear slugs or burned-face Khan.

I have seen every one of the TNG cast and then the Kelvin universe ones in a theater. I was too young to see (and actually enjoy) the first few movies, and didn't really get into Star Trek until around the time of TUC, but I did not watch that one until it was out on video.
