How Many Days And Hours Do You Work?

Might be helpful if you guys and gals also said what job you're doing.
umm, I work 5 days a week, between 40 - 45 hrs. that's enough for me. I know how to live within my means and stuff, and could easily survive if I only worked like, 32 hrs/week.
I've worked two jobs in the past, and as others have already posted, it can and will drain you. give it a try if you want, but don't umm, count on making it last for like, 6 months.

I work 20 hours (M-F, 1-5) at a law office, random days and hours (less than 20) at a mall store, plus a couple hours a week doing freelance web and graphic design. I usually end up working 7 days, although I had last weekend off completely. I would like more hours at all of them, as I'm not making nearly what I need to pay all my bills.
My work varies between 37 hours up to 46 over the course of 5 days, depending on what exactly I happen to be doing that week.
I can tell you that if you do not truly enjoy what you're doing, you'll be setting yourself up for burnout. The job I had for this one I did only because I needed the money and work experience. Even as little as 35 hours a week gave me burnout--the environment was that bad.
The job I am in NOW is quite different...sometimes I have to MAKE myself go home. It helps that my travel time is included as my paid work time, though--my actual OFFICE time is quite a bit less. (On the week where I do my long haul--which is where I get the most overtime, I spend HUGE amounts of that time on the road. Other weeks, it's less) Since I really enjoy the travel, that goes a long way towards breaking up the day.
So far I do not think I'm going to burn out, even though I'm now consistently working longer hours than I did in my last job. But that is because I like my work AND I have the travel time to break up the office stuff. If you don't have those kinds of outlets (and God forbid you be doing RETAIL) then you will burn out quick. So make sure that your need REALLY does justify what you're doing!

I work about 50 hrs over 6 days. I'm on salary so if things are not too busy i can leave early when i need or just want to. However, that rarely happens.

i think 7 days a week is too much
But if a person can do it and doesnt have other important things to do like family members or not wanting to go out on the town on week ends you could proberly do it.

I should also add to this that the OP should check their full-time company's policy about moonlighting (i.e. having a second job). Some companies have policies against it, or explicitly state that if they think you aren't giving them priority that you can get disciplined or fired. So there are very real consequences if you can't balance them effectively.
(Also make sure that your second job does not involve anything that would create a conflict of interest, violation of confidentiality, or of a no-compete clause.)
I work between 14-20 hrs a week at my day job as a teaching artist. That's 14 weekly one hour sessions plus my prep time (which varies greatly), and our monthly workshops. I am lucky that it pays very well and I can support myself (though admittedly, only just) working part-time.
Working on my own as an artist my hours go from 0 to 22 hour days -- depending on how inspired (read: manic) I am.

Varies. I'm mostly probably around 45-50 hours but some weeks can be more. I'm salaried so I admit to not always being greatly consistant, so long as I'm there and I keep things in line and turn in good numbers the bosses pretty much leave me alone. I do a bit of my bookwork stuff here at home, too. I work five days a week, I need my time off and I've got a crew I trust to do things for me when I'm not there and they do a good job of it.
I try to work as little as I possibly can.

It gets kind of tiring but thankfully one of my jobs is what i refer to as my 'fun job'. I might work long hour but we are usually busy there, and its fun so it goes by fast.

I don't really keep track of my hours, as they're irrelevant for the most part due to the nature of my job - I work until until what needs to get done is done. Technically, I'm expected to work 7.5 hours a day, 5 days a week (except right now, because I took a small salary/hours cut to 6.8 hours a day, due to a funding hiccup), but because it's academia, that's really a guideline rather than a hard-and-fast rule. I would say, however, that I work between 6.5-9 hours a day, 5 days a week, depending what I have on my plate. At the moment, or generally if I'm working a lot over a standard work week, I just take a comp day now and then.
