How Many Days And Hours Do You Work?

I'm thinking about taking on a second job. If I do take it on I will be working 7 days a week and likely a total of 56 hours. Positive side is that I will make plenty of money and Sundays will be paid time and a half.

Does anyone else here work 7 days a week? Can you handle it or is it too much?

If not 7 days just how many days/hours do you work? Would you be willing to work 7 days/56 hours a week?

Five days and 36 hours in total.

As long as it covers what I need and enables me to save enough, it'll do me.

I could handle working seven days a week but have no wish to.

I think you'd find never having a day off incredibly draining after a while.

Certainly beats sitting at home because there's no money to go out with. ;)
Also I might just do it for as long as possible just to try and build some money up and then quit the weekend job. Even if I last only for something like 6 months I'll have earned just over £3000 more than I would have without the second job.

Right now I work 30-40 hours per week, which is perfect for me since I'm going to school.

There was a time when I was working 74 hours per week (a 40 hour per week job and a 34 hour per week job). I was a walking zombie and as soon as I could afford to, I quit the second job. I had no personal time and I was constantly exhausted.

Well the set up I'm looking at would be a 40 hr job MON-FRI and then a 16 perhaps 17 hr job SAT-SUN.

When i was in my twenties i had a full time job 5 days a week and i was working 6-7 nights a week doing what i loved doing, singing professionally. It was thoroughly exhausting and i do remember thinking something had to give.

I don't know what you do or if you love your job as i loved my nightime job, but regardless of how much money you may make or how much you love your job....it can be incredibly draining on a human being. AND it can make you love what you do a lot less!

I don't know what your situation is, whether you have family, or a lot of money problems, but do think about it before you take on a second job. That's all i have to offer!

40/5

For 2.5 more days. :D

After that: unknown.

Sorry, I'm just really ready for this week to end!

I work 37.5 hours over 5 days. Sometimes it's more, but I try to avoid that as much as possible. :p

Fuck working any more than I have to, seriously. Yeah, I could get an evening job for extra money but I don't "need" it.

On a slow week, I work 5 days for about 35 hours.

On a busy week, I work 6 days for about 50 hours.

On average, though, I'm almost always right around 40 hours a week. I prefer having 2 consecutive days off, but it doesn't always work that way.

I am employed for 38 hours / 5 days a week. How much of that I actually work differs each week.

32-35 hours, 5 days a week. I have a salary, so I only stay after school a few days a week.

I work from my home. So...I work whenever and however long I want. I don't think I even work a hour straight ever, I don't focus greatly but I still get the job done and the money in. Otherwise I wouldn't have my own place, HD-DVR, Internet or computer...

That working thing gets old after a while, so I quit doing it when I turned 50. I still do a little consulting work from home, but that's on my schedule and no more than 8-12 hours per week.
