I "rejoined" in January of 2008 after being banned under my previous screen name (which will remain buried). I think its a great place and, for the most part, allows us to explore this great thing called "trek" . I love to venture into the art section and see what is going on there since some of the work there is absolutely stunning.

Same here. It just feels more like home.
Actually I was surprised to find that I am member #5733. I thought mine would be much higher than that.
But I have been around, lurking for the most part, since 2001 (I think). I registered first under the name Robot'iklan, which ended up getting lost in the crash. I made only about 100 posts under that name before it was swallowed up into oblivion. After the crash I re-registered as Mog_the_Dog. I don't think I ever used that name and it ended up getting pruned. Then four years ago (I can't believe it has been that long!) I registered as Anti_Drone so I could post some crap in the Art Forum. Two years ago I changed my name to AstroSmurf and now here we are. So I have been around for nine years or so in one form or another. I am sure most of the Mods would rather my form be lurking rather than chatty though.
