How is your weather? Snow, snow, snow

This is my first winter in Denver, and I've been really surprised by how little snow we've had.

We've been having 70 degree days lately. Thank god it's supposed to rain this week because we're going to pay the price for this nice weather later this year. They're saying this might be California's worst drought ever.

Live in the same area.

As far as drought, the 70's was worse. Unfortunately, there are many more people living here now.

If we don't get some significant snow in the mountains it's going to be ugly here Think; severe water rationing, no flushing toilets, showers ever other day, all lawns dead.

Woohoo - work is delayed an hour!

Lucky bugger. I grew up in Seattle, where the entire city shut down completely should more than 2 inches fall. When I moved to New York I was shocked to find that, despite a three foot blizzard my second year in the city, nothing shut down -- not even schools! No snowdays!

It's been unusually dry and warm here for the past couple of weeks. But I have no doubt that Winter will raise it's ugly head once again soon.

^ You're on the wrong side of the gulf stream. ;)

Here it's pretty much been snow, snow, snow. I don't really mind, though. In fact, I quite enjoy the snow. For one thing, when it's snowing a lot, that means the temperatures aren't that low. I'd rather have to trudge through a bunch of fun snow than deal with the -26°c (-35°c with windchill) day we had here not to long ago.

Besides, watching people try to drive in the snow is hilarious. It's traditional for people here not to shovel out parking spaces along streets. Instead, they tend to ram their cars towards the curb at a high speed. This usually results in the frequent sound of rubber being burned the next morning when they try to get back out.

Now, part of the reason I can appreciate the snow is that I don't drive, and I don't usually need to leave the house unless I want to. :D

It's currently 21°F in Georgia. That is far too cold.

I saw a snow flake yesterday... so I went indoors. ;)

Been colder than a well diggers ass down here, singles and teens in my neck of things.

Oh, and hell has frozen over: 30 to 45 minutes Southeast of Knoxville, TN. Iced over river I saw when I was in that general area today.

Looking forward to the heatwave this weekend. Going to reach 40°F! It was 3°F this morning and only 15 now.

9 degrees here in Summerhill PA. That is "Atop of the Alleghenies" We have light snow on ice, on light snow, on ice.
The snowman, the snow fort, and the snow horse have been there since early January.
