How is Janeway sexy?

As to order of characters.. Janeway 7 and the Doctor are my favorites and everyone else is well below that. They are in clumps of sorta equality of liking..

As to the shipping discussion, at heart I am not a shipper. I enjoy Janeway as a strong woman without a man at her side. I'm not very interested in romance. However I do enjoy Janeway/7 and I guess that was pretty much my ONLY shipping interest until NuSpock/NuKirk came along. I think there is a ton of subtext between Janeway and 7 and a ton of overt text between Janeway and Chakotay. In the end I just want Janeway to be happy! As I've said before, Janeway herself reads quite heterosexual to me and if she ended up with Chakotay I would be happy for her, but my interest in the romance and sexual tension of that pairing is nil. It's dull to me, and Janeway/7 isn't dull.

And I hasten to add that Janeway LIKES a solid "dull" angstless man which you can see in her fiance and in Workforce. I actually think treklit has RUINED Chakotay for her by turning him into an emo wreck, I don't think he is at all the man she was originally attracted to now.

I agree with you here too, but I still dislike that they tried to make Seven too human. She is part borg and that what makes her unique. I hate when in fics or in the books I think, they removed all their implants and made her kinda full human and use Annika instead Seven. Does it mean that as Seven, with her borg part, she wasn't good enough?

So as to not derail the Janeway thread further. I liked the fanfic 'No Less Human' by a fanfic writer called Lan. It addresses a lot the issues mentioned and has a Seven of Nine a lot closer to how I wished Voyager had taken the character. Here's the link, if you haven't already come across it.

I never deny that there was something between Janeway and Chakotay. If someone says no (I know a lot) it's because they do not wanna see it. Oh, you see her heterosexual, and I see her more kinda Bi. That's exactly why I like J/7. It's not dull. Janeway is a strong character and, imho, needs another strong character, and Seven has that strength.

I haven't read any ST book.. and I think I won't. I prefer to stick to fics.

Your welcome teacake and Spalko, there is another list of J/7 fanfic here, which sadly hasn't been updated in a while so a number of stories have disappeared over time. Still quite a bit to search through. Vaxen also has some very enjoyable stories. My favorite being 'The Love She Knows' which is a sequel to another very angsty story by another author Boadicea.

I've been working on a list of my top 10 ever characters from Trek for a while. These are the characters I absolutely ADORE and could watch forever. The characters that I never tire of, that I can unreservedly say I love.

I've only ever been able to come up with 8 of them (this is not in order).
