Now, now, ladies, why are we chasing folks out?

Janeway's voice took some time to grow on me, as well. I didn't like it much straight away (even though the character had me hooked the second she showed up to recruit Paris.) I still can't listen to her speak if I have a very bad headache.

However, when she's mad, her voice is fecking amazing, IMO. Works really well.

Although... not a huge fan of that French dub of her voice, either. Kind of a bummer the North American DVDs don't come with any additional language/subbing options.

As for women who sound like little girls... that would be me. LOL

EDIT: Every time I see that scene where Tom Paris tells that one alien lady that humans no longer smoke, I'm always like, "Have you heard your captain speak recently, Helmboy?!" When there are no cameras in the Ready Room, I'm fairly sure Janeway breaks out her hookah and some whiskey.

Agreed. I assume TPTB wanted her to make it "higher" or something. It sounds forced and like she was hitting up helium.

It was soooo much better when they let her talk normally.
