Plus think of the subtext! In my personal shipping hagiography Janeway would have felt a pained loss over both of them.

There's a vast space between "sweet little girl voices" and Kate Mulgrew's voice and it's filled with lovely female voices.

Not everybody who finds Mulgrew's voice irritating want's a "sweet little girl" voice instead.
