How is Janeway sexy?

Krige was just.. damper.

I'm genuinely intrigued by that expression :) And I don't wish to be excommunicated from compound, but I find The Killing Game really dull now. Liked it first couple of times I saw it, but watched it again recently and fell asleep in first half. Plus I find the clothes and sets really ugly :alienblush: Sort of cheap-rather-than-classy Hollywood. *eek*

She breaths shallowly, always has her mouth a bit open, the dampness of her skin and her oddly still face gives her an amphibian quality. This is genuinely creepy, especially when combined with a personality bent on seduction.

First Contact was my favorite Trek movie for years so I watched it rather a lot.. (it's number 3 on the list now, I may have worn it out). I remember the first time I saw the Borg Queen in it, I was repelled, appalled, fascinated. So good.

Know exactly what you mean, esp the amphibian aspect. Have you noticed she also does that Spiner 'crick of the neck'? trick? Or was she just imitating Data?

I'm sorry. Don't think Kate is happy either...

That is VERY interesting!!! It didn't occur to me that she might be imitating him. Or maybe it is simply a result of being part machine.

I'd imagine that if she IS imitating him it's part mockery, part seduction to make herself aligned with him in little ways.

Borg body language 101: mirroring. (Well, it works for homo sapiens)

Yes that's the thing, it works for homo sapiens but does it work on an android? Somehow in FC it's believable that it does work because we know that Data is intrigued and, in that "very long moment for an android" a bit seduced.

I love BOTH Borg Queens, but I definately agree with you in this regard.

One of the reasons I LIKED Voyager using a "different" Queen for much of its run was because the seduction between Seven and she was very different than between Data and the Queen. The latter was all sensual/sexual while the former was more maternal as the Queen tried to channel Janeway's actions/tactics.

Switching back to the original Queen for the finale was a masterstroke in many ways. First, it settled the question "Was Voyager's Queen and the FC Queen one in the same?"

Yes. :techman:

It also showed us that the Queen was done with playing Mommy to Seven, and her interactions with Seven started to stray into the "damp"/"icky" zone.

("Icky" is being used BECAUSE the Queen had previously presented her self as a Mom substitute which makes her "Endgame" ploys more incestuous than I care to recall.)

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to watch "Endgame" the same way again

But that's exactly true. It is slightly creepy

I equate the "Endgame" Borg Queen with Angela Lansbury in the Original "Manchurian Candidate."

If you don't know what that means... RENT IT IMMEDIATELY!

Well, unless you are pregnant with twins.. then rent it after you are at least two thirds the way through the third trimester.

I'm not going to be the blame for premature labor!

I also love both - but I prefer Krige as well (my videos reflect this, LOL. I usually opt for Krige clips when showing the BQ)

Thompson gets points for that stare of hers, though.

And yes, the Queen's antics with both Janeway and Seven veer well into "seduction" territory during "Endgame."

Now I'm scared . . . .

And yes, I'm pregnant with twins.

The Borg really do believe they have a LOT to offer. 7 is like a cult member who can't quite shake the lure of perfection. So it makes sense that the Queen would view seduction as the flip side of assimilation.. she suspects there is something even more wonderful about adding distinctiveness when it's freely given.

It's chilling because it's not like she is trying to lure someone to their death, there's no trickery in it. She really believes she offers something wonderful and people resist because they are unenlightened.
