re The Killing Game.. I thought the back story of the character B'Elanna played was very moving. She has an American sweetheart who she has not seen in years, joins the resistance, and in order to get information sleeps with a Nazi officer and becomes pregnant. Spat on by the locals who think she is a collaborator she gathers information for the resistance. When she is discovered the officer makes it clear that once the child is born she will die.
Watching that Klingon smash the batleth into the officer's chest was VERY satisfying!

Also, it took me years (because I am dense) to realize that one of the biggest themes in "The Killing Game" was role-reversal. Janeway was the leader of the Maquis, and Chakotay was the military captain - with Paris on his side, no less. I assume Torres stayed Maquis so they could work in a good story for her pregnancy, though.
Honestly took me years to figure out. I guess I was blinded by the White Tux and Black Turtlenecks and Giant Hirogen (I really like the Hirogen as enemies. Talk about creepy.)
