Y'all remember when my Clapper broke and I was all disgruntled so I posted a really super KM pic to cheer myself up?

Well, this passed within sight of my house today:

No, I did not take the picture. I taking shelter as one should always do at such times.

My home wasn't damaged and my friends and family are all safe. So, I celebrate by offering a link to a vid by the wonderfully talented Lyrielle Moon. I've been saving this for a special occasion, and obviously, today's the day.

Possum!!! I just saw this after I sent you an e-mail. LOL, I was super worried when I heard about all the horrible storms (tornadoes are my worst fear!) I'm really happy you, your family, and your friends are safe.

Was it pretty crazy? And thanks for the vid. :)

You can ignore the e-mail. :)

EDIT: Yes! Taking shelter is quite smart!

Thanks, y'all. Actually, one thing happened that was kinda funny. Mr. Possum and I were watching the news so we'd know when it was time to duck and cover. I was trying to act like I wasn't scared so my three year old Lil' Possum wouldn't panic, but I was seriously about to freak out myself. So I thought: "What can I do to look brave, even though I'm scared out of my wits?"

And then I thought: "Oooh, I know!" I popped my hands up on my hips and instantly felt tougher.

It really works, y'all!

OMG OMG OMG.

And you guys are scared of spiders

That is terrible and I hope no one was killed. TERRIBLE. I'm glad it was okay Possum, do you have a basement? I hope the little possum was not scared.

I was saving it for the birthday, but it seemed like a good time to use it. :)

The closest a tornado has ever come to me was in Chico, it was just a tiny one that ran by I-5, I live too deep in the valley to get them. And earthquakes never get too powerful here either.

And I'm afraid of scarier things.

You know: heights, spiders, hurricanes, fire . . . I have one really bad one that's already come true and another one that's partially come true.

I have yet to post a photo today.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

Okay here you all go, this is BEAUTIFUL and I would also like to point out that she is, *cough*, in bed.

:drool::drool::drool:

On another note, how was your dinner last night teacake?

It was AMAZING. Thankfully I did not have to pay for it!

8 courses with a glass of matching wine with each course. Beautiful breads and rolls offered throughout the evening with french butter (so good you could eat it with a spoon) and olive oil to go with it. Very useful bread too as something was needed to absorb all the wine. It took four hours to eat this meal!

Here's what it was:

Fremantle octopus, (Nigl 2007 ‘Dornleiten’ Riesling)
young vegetable “giardiniera”, goat’s cheese croquette, Ortiz anchovies

Zucchini flowers, (Isabel 2010 Sauvignon Blanc)
olives and goat’s cheese, mint, pumpkin “caponata”,
white asparagus shavings, pumpkin jus

Pine needle smoked quail (Toscolo 2009 Vernaccia di San Gimignano)
jamòn, fregola, agresto, pine nut oil, toasted pine nuts

Ravioli crab, (Castello di Torre in Pietra 2008 'Aranova' Fiano)
blue swimmer, nettle velouté, cherry tomato

Glenloth pigeon, roasted breast, leg ravioli, (Speri 2008 Valpolicella Classico 'la Roverina')
spinach puree, marsala, cardamom and
liquorice powder, beetroot, couscous

Slow cooked Wagyu rump cap, (Principiano Ferdinando 2006 Barolo 'Serralunga')
pickled veal tongue, shallot and potato “saltate”, fennel and rosemary praline, salsa verde

Cheese and grapes, (Chateau Lafaurie-Peraguey 2006 Sauternes)

Valrhona chocolate soufflé (Bridge Road Brewers Robust Porter)
malt ice cream and chocolate sauce

Lavazza coffee and pastries

Ohhhhh :drool::drool::drool:

It sounds AMAZING!

Especially the chocolate soufflé. I just had to go out and buy(even though I didn't want to drive, but I had my husbands truck) lots of Hostess foods: cupcakes, Twinkies, Ding-Dongs, Ho-Ho's. Chocolate is good.

Oh and quail is so good too.

How did you eat it all?

Oh they are small portions.. and it did take 4 hours. The chocolate souffle was my least favorite thing, but I don't have a sweet tooth. I ate it just because it was there. There were also petit fours.

I am still completely stuffed a day later.

I have a major sweet tooth. That has been enhanced due to the pregnancy. But still, I have a sweet tooth.

Four hours, I don't know if I could sit there that long. But still sounds worth it.

And yeah, eight courses later would probably finish me off for the weekend, I can imagine you're still stuffed.

The time went by really quick, we were shocked that it was 4 hours!

Of course all the wine helped, LOLOL

And yeah if I never ate anything sweet again I probably wouldn't notice. I don't think I've ever had a craving for something sweet. Chillies.. yes. I've been invited to chocolate degustations and declined because I couldn't stand eating all those courses in chocolate. One little taste of one chocolate thing is enough for me.
