It was such a sad moment. I almost felt tempted to...well, let's just say I shouldn't have watched NTSF:SD:SUV::

I'm trying to watch it. I'm getting there. I just have to wait for my puppy to go back to sleep.

But ugh, I could care less about the Janeway hate. That's been going on for years. But Narcissa! Honestly. I mean, has she read the books? This is the woman who lied to Voldemort. Lied to her husband. Her sister! But more importantly, LIED TO VOLDEMORT! IN HIS FACE! She lied. To make sure her son was ok!

Ask your friend who Harry's father is. It's the sure way to know

DD, what reason did your friend give for dissing Janeway (and Narcissa)? Is this a Strong Woman Problem?

I think it might be. That was definitely the subtext I was getting. There was also the "She obviously didn't know what she was doing, which was why things were all screwed up" argument, as well as the "She was the token woman captain that had to be put up, which is why Voyager sucked"

Prior to ENT, VOY was the black sheep of Trekdom. (Now it's more the dark gray sheep.) Janeway is the brash, stubborn older lady riding on said dark gray sheep with a fancy saddle, so she's a pretty easy target.

That dark gray sheep has FANGS!! It's a sheep to be reckoned with. A sheep of righteous power!!

It's morning here but I'm a (star)trooper so I'll down a few Gin Rickeys. Actually went out for breakfast the other day and had stout so this is not without precedence (it was kind of a themed breakfast, lol.. also stout is a food group so doesn't count.)

No do NOT accept WoW as an excuse. I should just give you all my email address. I am sorry about the WoW, it's just I had grabbed such an awesome WoW name and then I had to start working on the perfect WoW title for that char and also my guild is the loveliest bunch of women.. though no Trek fans as far as I can tell.
