^yes, great av. And kudos to Kodos for MW quotes. Currently working on a video and other stuff so apologies for not posting more .:alienblush:

In End Game she looked much better as The Admiral rather than normal Janeway. She was simply gorgeous with that white hair and her "I'm better than you" attitude that I loved. ;)

The extra lightening of her makeup as the Admiral gave Janeway a very ethereal timeless beauty to Capt Janeway's more Earthy physical and contemporary make up tone. That and her attitude, which for me was Janeway trying to save her younger self from her own worst instincts. Adm Janeway is such a grand combination of the captain's qualities of drive, and reckless love of her crew that she is just instant win every moment she's on screen.

I'm blown away by Mulgrew's ability to be the two Janeways, alike, yet so different. It is a joy to watch.

...
PS. Found this. Made by Sazzy back in 2007. Sazzy's stuff is usually classy even if it's J/7 stuff....

Oh, I didn't know that J/7 stuff was by definition not classy and it was difficult to find anything elegant in this fandom... ;)

Sorry been busy cleaning up and pulling my hair out..Family stuff.:scream:

Meant no disrespect. Just I have seen some videos that reminded me of cheesy dime store novels.( I have seen the same with J/C, J/T, J/B etc. also.) The only sleazy J/C video I like is the one done by mistyfur(I think that was her handle and I don't think she is on YT anymore..or she changed her nick.) with the 9 Inch Nails song. I am so glad I don't just fav videos; I download them. Maybe it's my age, I don't know.:)

I think Mulgrew did the correct thing when she said...No relationships with the crew(Chakotay..specially). It made her more alone than anyone on the ship. I wished there had been a woman closer to her age(like Dr. Crusher or the like) who she could have forged a friendship but she had no one.:(

7 was, to me, more a child in so many ways. If Janeway was to have a relationship with a woman, I would prefer B'Elanna.
Now that, to me, would be fireworks. :censored:

This is my opinion..and as you know..Everyone has one.

This is very insightful, Kodos. I'll have to mull it over for a while.

ETA a friendly wave at DD.

But, it was her younger self that reminded her what it meant to be a Star fleet Captain... to BOLDLY go where StarFleet wanted her to go. To take DOWN the Federation's greatest threat. She and her crew were ready to pledge their lives for such a quest.

ADMIRAL: It's about time. I'm not getting any younger, you know.
JANEWAY: You're sure you want to do this?
ADMIRAL: No, but Voyager isn't big enough for both of us.
JANEWAY: (injects her) Good luck, Admiral.
ADMIRAL: You, too. Captain, I'm glad I got to know you again. :techman:

And guess what.

The Captain rolled the dice and WON! :bolian:

Her younger self wasn't eaten up by decades of regret at the lives lost. Thinking of Capt Janeway's behavior in 'Night' I imagine the Admiral had more than a few days on that hill pondering that grave of Chakotay's and Seven lost years before. The admiral seemed to want redemption for those lives lost.
