How is Janeway sexy?

If she'd wanted to, she could have played it up even more. I love how she used her sexy in "Counterpoint." However, I'm impressed with KM's restraint in that regard, because too much sexy and she would have reduced Janeway to a sex object, which she certainly did not need to be in order to be a BAMF!

Yeah, she walked that line very well.

What the hell is a 'BAMF'?

Oh, are we naming mairbeariepie's babies in this thread? Because if I were to have another girl, her name would be Alexis. Just an idea. I'm probably done having babies, so feel free.

Oh Alexis is a pretty name. Maybe short for Alexandra. :D

Analisa is definitely one of the girls' name. Just not sure which one. It's too early for that. Until further notice they are Baby A and Baby B.

Or One of Two and Two of Two, Primary and Secondary Adjuncts of Unimatrix 96002? :bolian:

That could work. You even got my zip code right.

thanks for the early morning coffee spit there dd,

I got a nice spit take when I realized he had the right zip code.

And I called them that in front of my husband, he just looked at me and laughed. It's what he does when he doesn't get the reference.

Did you explain the reference? ;)

Did you explain the reference? ;)

Nope. ;) He can suffer. He's slowly getting into Star Trek, but he likes all of the scary Cardassian episodes and when I'm having nightmares about them and he knows I am because I talk in my sleep yet he still watches them, I'm gonna keep some things from him.

He'll eventually get too curious and ask. ;)

Happy First Contact Day everyone!!!!

I wasn't paying attention and it just snuck up on me. Luckily, I didn't have anything special planned for dinner, so I can fix some lovely (all natural) pieroges this afternoon. :bolian:

Froot, thank you kindly for the First Contact Day present! That vid had clips in it from the Murphy Brown episode!!!!! The first time I ever really noticed KM. Awwwwww memories! :adore:

Here, here, y'all need to see more of that.

LOL, thanks for the link! Glad you liked it. The video quality was very good, and sooo many nice smiles... siiiiiigh So you saw her in Murphy Brown first, eh?

Outside of VOY, I think the first time I remember seeing her in anything was in Camp Nowhere. I remember a friend and I picked it up on a whim from Blockbuster probably a few months after VOY came out (back when people... did that) and were like "is that girl's mom... Janeway?"

I'm sure I probably saw her in Murphy Brown and/or Dallas since my mother watched those shows religiously, but I don't really remember it. I faintly recall one of the times she was on Murder, She Wrote. (What '80s show wasn't that woman on? Golden Girls? LOL)

^ Oh, yes, I know I must have seen her on Ryan's Hope and Dallas, probably also Hotel. But by the time Murhpy Brown was on, I was old enough to . . . appreciate her more. ;)

^ I know. I have deduced from your remarks that you are the same age as my baby brother. :p

ETA: Although! I looked it up, and you were around for the last few years of Ryan's Hope. However, many ABC outlets had stopped carrying it by then. I know our local station had.

I most certainly wasn't born during Ryan's Hope. But I knew about it, it was my mom's favorite.

First thing I can remember KM from was Camp Nowhere. I think one of my sister's rented it before Voyager.

Are we going to play the whippersnapper game? Where's Brit so I can feel "young"? Hell, at least Mulgrew is older than me. (But has NO-WHERE as much gray hair as I, right Vas2009!)

Has anyone seen the movie comedy "Soapdish" with Whoopie Goldberg/ Sally Field/ Kevin Kline? I always think the Sally Fields character is Kate Mulgrew... Sally's character was a teen on a soap.. she got pregnant "secretly" and gave the child up for adoption before returning to the soap for the next 20 years.

^ :lol::lol:

Actually, you were Mair (we're about the same age?), since Possum pointed it out. :O

I can't believe it ran until '89. I had no idea! I thought it ended in the early part of the '80s! My mom's favorite soaps were Days of our Lives and All My Children, I think.

I would assume our ABC affiliate must have dropped it as well.

"Baby" brother! Pishaw!

I think I saw Soapdish once, but, again, I was a squirt at the time. LOL, I bet that was a reference to Ryan's Hope!!! That's a pretty uncanny similarity. Interesting choice to have Sally Field play Kate's character...

(Maybe KM dyes her hair ;))

I can't think of Sally Field without thinking of this stupid running joke I had with someone regarding Not Without My Daughter...
