I was watching a couple of episodes this morning, and noticed that Kate Mulgrew reacts to whatever another character says. There are slight changes of expression, as if she's actually listening and forming a reply. Compare her with Garret, who admittedly was less experienced as an actor, and lacked Mulgrew's subtlety of performance.
JRulez, not here LOL! But I was in a huge dust storm once, pretty freaky.
And Melakon ABSOLUTELY TRUE. She's a joy to watch. She's completely engaged in the scene.
Its that "complete engagement" that allows her to seduce everyone within range, Chakotay, Tuvok, Tom, Belanna, Seven, Kim, Neelix, Q, Kayshyk, Jaffen and EVEN Teacake!

Can't say I think Janeway is very sexy......and it's not because she's an older lady. Just look at Troi in her Voyager appearances. She was in her mid 40's and still absolutely gorgeous..........and Janeway?.......not so much, me thinks. She didn't have the looks, nor the personality. Not that I didn't like her, but I'd never have called her sexy. It would have been like saying my mom was sexy............ewww, gross, that's a terrible thought.

To me, what makes Janeway so appealing is her strength of character, and how she perseveres through any situation. To her there is no such thing as "giving up".
And she has awesome cheekbones.
I like her biceps.
