Actually, i'd say it's clearly a rhetorical question

If someone asked...."how is Dave sexy"?......most people would assume that the asker is simply letting us know that they do not think Dave is sexy

So in that respect, the OP isn't asking you to convince them, they're asking you to acquiesce
