I've been accused of thinking irrationally (and sometimes acting the same way too) over the last few months. I deny it of course.

i is unreal. Pi is the irrational one.

Of course, but I still cannot stop from bawling when I see Pikachu (and then all the other ones) start to cry as he tries futilely to revive Ash...

The scene isn't sad simply because Ash is dead (of course we knew he'd be alive again, no way would they permanently kill him off), it's all the other sadness that just adds to it.
