How intericial or diverse is your family?

Myself? Lots of whites, with a Cherokee here and there a few generations back for spice. And I'm the only confirmably gay one, although I have two cousins I have my suspicions about.

Not enough Cherokee to count in applying for jobs, though. And no, I don't mean Jeeps, even though I drive one. Bizarre coincidence only.

My mom's half Norwegian, half Native American. My dad's got some native too, mixed in with the French, Irish, and English of your typical western European mutt. We're all very fair-skinned, though, despite all the Native blood. My sister's boyfriend -- we consider him part of the family -- is half Japanese and half Jewish, not the most common mix. As for other diversity, my grandparents on my dad's side are Catholic (the rest of my family are Atheist/Agnostic), and I think I have a relative who is a republican.

My maternal grandfather is of mostly Mexican descent, my maternal grandmother is Spanish (as in from Spain, not Latino) and everyone else is a variety of flavors of white European, with a sprinkling of Native American somewhere a couple hundred years back, possibly.

I just realized I only did my mom's side of the family. I do consider them more my family than my dad's side...but on that side it's all white and straight except my cousin has a half-black baby.

Religiously I think pretty much everyone is Lutheran or Presbyterian. My dad's side is more church-going and prayer-spewing than my mom's. As far as I know I'm the only atheist on either side.

Not diverse at all, really.

We are a horrifically white group of people.

My Mom traced some of the family as far back as the 1400s, and it's all English, Scottish, German, and a smattering of all the other Northern European countries. It's just ridiculously white.

Polish with a Russian great grandmother on my father's side.

Italian with some Sicilian mixed in there on my mother's side

100% Jersey Boy!

I have a fairly mixed European heritage that I try to embrace (even though I'm mostly a product of my generic American suburban heritage). So, no, I'm not very diverse and neither is my family when it comes to race (with personality, everyone is different, imo).

When I was young it was all white though techincally I have some Native American in me. Today I have a niece and nephew who is half-white/black. I have another niece who is half-white/Indian(As in from India) I have a gay sister and black brother-in-law. Then there is me. I am proably bi-curious. Not sure if I like guys enough to be seen as bi-sexual because guys never do it for me as much as girls do. Also since I am from Oklahoma I guess that means most of us is half=redneck as well.
