Tom and B'elana's child is getting old enough to be curious and ask questions. Hard questions, like "You mean Mommy used to be a terrorist?" and "Why wasn't Uncle Harry ever promoted?" and "Why did you go to prison Daddy?" and "What was it like being assimilated? Does Mommy still have any implants like Auntie Seven does?" and "Mommy tried to change my DNA to make me look less Klingon?"
Luckily, Tom has prepared a holo-novel explaining to his teenage daughter how he met her mother. How does one chapter of this go?
I think it's very similar to the actual show Voyager, only Tom and B'elana are always the ones to save the day. When Tom nobly tries to save the water sphere he is cruelly punished by crushing cold hearted regulation.
