The Three Days Rule 4x21

Barney and Marshall play a joke on Ted, who is having a “text relationship” with a girl (Rebecca Budig) he’s just met.

Great stuff. Glad they didn't even mention Lily. Good for her to just be absent rather than hidden behind objects to conceal her pregnancy.

They actually did mention Lily. At the very beginning, they were talking about girls names who end in ly being dirty.

Plus she is still made at Barney because of that Joke, there is no need to mention here. She is just avioiding them.

Surely Alyson Hannigan was off actually having the baby by this time?

They must only have a few episodes left in the seaosn - I wonder if she'll be back before then?

Bob Saget was just on Ronn Owen's show on KGO Radio in San Francisco. I emailed the following question:

"Why does Bob Saget do the 'Future Ted' voice-over narration on 'How I Met Your Mother' instead of the actor who plays 'Present Day Ted', Josh Radnor?"

Ronn Owens read it and Bob Saget answered! Basically he said he was friends with the producers when the show started and they asked him to do it to give "Future Ted" a more aged voice "hit by 15 years of cigarettes and alcohol", but that it was a "good question" (he actually said that twice) and that he himself had asked why they haven't since switched to Josh Radnor, which apparently was considered. The producers think Bob's voice has become part of "the flavor of the show".
